The Writing Lab is a free service intended to assist students within the BYU College of Home, Family and Social Sciences. Our tutors are friendly undergraduate students from a variety of academic disciplines who have writing experience and are trained in teaching writing. We offer individual face-to-face sessions where we serve as attentive and involved readers, helping students become better writers by focusing on the global aspects of writing, such as thesis construction, organization, transitions, idea development, logical coherence, style, and argument clarity. You can come in with a hard copy of your paper or you may call and schedule an appointment at your convenience. We welcome papers and writers at any stage in the writing process.
